Installing Data Abstract for JavaScript

Requirements

• Windows Operating System (for installation purposes)

Installation

If you haven't yet done so, go to your products download page and download the latest version of Data Abstract for JavaScript.

Double-click on the downloaded executable, which should be named RemObjects Data Abstract for JavaScript - xxxxx.exe where xxxxx is the version number, and follow the on screen instructions. The default Full Installation will install both sample code and the source code for Data Abstract for JavaScript.

By default Data Abstract components are installed into the C:\Program Files (x86)\RemObjects Software folder.

The Data Abstract (Common) directory contains the main Data Abstract tools. For instance the Schema Modeler, the Briefcase Explorer and the SQL Browser.

The Relativity Server directory contains the Relativity Server and the Relativity Admin Tool.

The Data Abstract for JavaScript folder contains a few different things. The Source folder has the library files you will need when creating & testing your project, there are also compressed versions available if required. Finally there is a shortcut to the Samples which are located in c:\Users\Public\Public Documents\RemObjects Samples\Data Abstract for Java

The Everwood folder has components for handling licensing in Visual Studio. You should never need to work with this directory's content directly.

The Remoting SDK (Common) and Remoting SDK for JavaScript folders contains the Remoting SDK, the framework that Data Abstract is built upon.
